Join Us in the Mystic Irish Day Parade

Sunday, March 25th!!!

The Eastern CT Emerald Society is looking for personnel to march in the Mystic Irish Parade this Sunday, March 25th. Line up is at the Mystic Seaport South parking lot at 12pm, the parade starts at 1pm. Please wear your class A uniform from your department.

Also... the Emerald Society is having a fundraiser breakfast Sunday morning at 0900 at the Mystic Hook & Ladder Company (52 New London Rd, Mystic). 5 Dollars a head gets you a great breakfest and of course a nice base coat of "beverages." All are welcome to the breakfest even if they can not attend the parade.

Leather Helmet Benefit Night, April 11th!

President Post and Vice President Ragsdale would like to announce the Emerald Societies support for a benefit night to aid Captain Vance Green of the Submarine Base FD. Vance has been a member of the Emerald Society from the start, and as many of you know recently lost his wife Julia. The Itailian Dramatic Club in New London is sponsoring an all you can eat pasta, chicken, potatoe and salad dinner to off set the cost of the medical bills. The Eastern Connecticut Emerald Society has purchased a limited number of tickets and will be made available to dues paying members. Contact President Post if you can attend the April 11 event and are a member in good standing. The highlight of the evening will be a Cairns New Yorker Leather Helmet raffle.

St. Patricks Day Party & Membership Meeting

Wanted to notify everyone early on about the Irish Week/St. Patricks Day party. This year it'll be on March 12th at the Harp & Hound. We've got a live band, the New London Firefighters Pipes and Drums will be there. Special raffle free for members in good standing. Look in the firehouses for flyers soon.

Also, February 20th we'll be holding a general membership meeting at John's waterfront tavern in Mystic. Cottrell St. Hope to get started at 6:30 pm.

2007 Mystic Irish Parade

We've recieved the application to participate in the 2007 Mystic Irish Parade.
If you are intrested in marchinig with the Unit please respond let us know. We'd like to have a good showing again this year and hope to see new faces. The parade is Sunday the 25th following St. Patricks Day and will begin at 1:00. The route proceeds through downtown Mystic from the Seaport and ends at the Mystic Art Associtation Parking lot.

Decals and Patches are available

Emerald Society decals and patches have been ordered!! We sold out quickly last time and there are limited quantities. The decals are outside stick and 3.5 inches round. Available for $5.00. The patch is 4 inches round and will be available for $8.00.
